• STEP 2 - We Request Your Work CV & Rugby Experience Summary - Email your regular work CV and rugby experience summary to recruitment@bd-rugby.com (subject line: "Meeting Booked").

• STEP 3 - Eligibility Assessment - Our team will do an initial assessment to check if you are eligible & suitable for our program.

• STEP 4 - Job Placement - Our program manager arranges job placement with a partner employer within 1-2 weeks (including a formal job offer and contract).

• STEP 5 - Visa - Our program manager steps you through the process of arranging visa documents and visa.

• STEP 6 - Come to China - Once your  work visa is ready you can come to China ✈️🇨🇳.

• Hong Kong Premiership - Level: UK National 1 / SA Varsity Cup (*Match Fees Paid to Players Selected for This Level)

• All China Cup - Level: UK National 3 / SA 2nd Division Club

• Hong Kong Premiership A - Level: UK National 3 / SA 2nd Division Club

• Hong Kong Championship - Level: Competitive Club Rugby in UK/SA

• Beijing Cup - Level: Social But Competitive

 

RUGBY SEASON ⬇️

• Training Nights During Season: Tuesday / Thursday

• Season Dates for Shenzhen / Hong Kong: September - April

• Season Dates for Beijing - Autumn: Aug - Dec, Spring: Mar-Jun

• NOTE: Mid-Season Arrival Is Acceptable in Some Cases

 

TEACHING ENGLISH WITH OUR PARTNER SCHOOL ⬇️

• NO TEACHING EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

• Salary: 🇬🇧£2000 per month (🇿🇦 R42,000 / month)

• Minimum 12 Month Contract (contract can be extended)

• Legal Work Visa Provided

• Work Hours: Regular Full Time Hours 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

• Flight Allowance Paid by Employer (paid after arrival in China - payment timing varies)

• Part Time Work: Many of Our Players do Part Time Tutoring Work Which Is Generally Paid At 🇬🇧£40+ / Hour (🇿🇦R960+).

 

ACCOMMODATION ⬇️

• Self Paid (not provided by club / employer) But Assistance Given for Finding Accommodation

• Shared Accommodation Options with Teammates Available

• Typical Rent Cost - Shenzhen: 🇬🇧£320/Month (🇿🇦R7700), Beijing: 🇬🇧£375/Month (🇿🇦R9000)

 

SET UP COSTS ⬇️

• Visa Document Costs: Approx 🇬🇧£400 (🇿🇦R8000)

• Initial Flight Cost to China: Approx 🇬🇧£400 (🇿🇦R8000) *REPAID BY EMPLOYER AFTER ARRIVAL (payment timing varies)
